Independence Day

Independence Day is celebrated annually as a public holiday in India to commemorate the nation’s independence.
Students practised well for the march past, and many drills were organised. Students gave speeches in English, Kannada and Hindi on the importance of Independence Day and in remembrance of great leaders. A fancy dress competition was held, in which many of our Lilliputs dressed as great freedom fighters and spoke a few lines about them. Students performed dances to patriotic songs, and some students sang patriotic songs. Prizes were distributed, and sweets were handed out at the end.
